Summary

MeetAnywhere does not require an account and does not collect personal data on our own servers. Your saved cities and presets stay in your own browser. Some third-party services we use (such as Google AdSense and privacy-friendly analytics) may collect limited information for advertising and audience measurement; this page explains what and how, and what rights you have over it.

Who we are (data controller)

The site is operated by the MeetAnywhere Team, based in South Korea (대한민국). For privacy-related questions, contact yjbiz0609@gmail.com.

What we store in your browser

The site uses your browser's localStorage on your device to remember:

  • The list of cities you have added
  • The presets you have saved
  • Whether you dismissed the on-page how-it-works banner

This data never leaves your browser. Clearing your browser storage erases it. We do not have any copy on our servers.

Share links and live-session links

When you generate a share link or a live-session link, your selected configuration (cities, base time, meeting date, session title, etc.) is encoded in the URL itself. We do not log or store these URLs on our servers. Anyone with the link can see the same configuration, so do not put sensitive information into a title or join URL you publish publicly.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly aggregate analytics (such as Plausible or Vercel Analytics) to understand which pages are popular and which features are used. These analytics do not use cookies that identify you personally and do not track you across other sites.

Advertising

This site may display ads from Google AdSense and other ad networks. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads — in some regions personalized based on your prior visits to this and other sites, in other regions non-personalized only, depending on the consent choices you make.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will see a consent banner the first time you visit, allowing you to accept or reject the use of cookies for personalized advertising. You can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or by reviewing Google's advertising policies. Cookies

Aside from the advertising and analytics cookies described above, the site itself does not set tracking cookies. The localStorage entries listed earlier are not cookies and are not transmitted to our servers.

Data retention

We do not store personal data on our own servers, so there is nothing for us to retain. Third parties such as Google retain advertising and analytics data according to their own retention schedules — see the respective providers' policies.

International data transfers

Because we rely on third-party services (Google, our hosting provider, image and data providers), data such as your IP address and browser metadata may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Those providers use their own legal mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to govern such transfers.

Your rights (EU / UK — GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights with respect to any personal data processed about you:

  • Right of access — confirm whether we hold data about you and obtain a copy
  • Right of rectification — correct inaccurate data
  • Right of erasure — request deletion
  • Right to restrict or object to processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

Your rights (California — CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. We may "share" limited identifiers (such as cookie IDs and IP address) with advertising partners as defined by California law. To opt out, use the consent banner's "Reject all" option, the Google Ads Settings link above, or contact us at yjbiz0609@gmail.com.

Korea (PIPA)

As the site is operated from South Korea, the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) applies. We do not collect personal information on our servers. Where third parties (such as advertising and analytics providers) process information, please refer to the provider sections above. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in some jurisdictions) and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through this site, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, post a notice on the site.
